Irene (Amarello) Ferreira, 90, of Westport, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Ferreira.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel and Antonine (Sousa) Amarello, she had resided in Westport for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Home Health Aide. Mrs. Ferreira was a member of the 3rd Baptist Church in Fall River, enjoyed reading her bible and loved to spend time with her family.
Survivors include her 3 daughters: Kathleen DeMello, Deborah Dufresne and Sandra Britto, all of Westport; her son: Joseph Ferreira of Fall River; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late John D. Ferreira.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6-8 P.M.
Interment will be private.
