Madeline A. Witt, 90, formerly of Warwick, died Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Briarcliff Manor in Johnston, with her family at her side. She was the widow of William H. Witt, Sr.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of William and Annie (Mycroft) Sherman. She was a jewelry worker and manager for Guild Metal Company before retiring, as well as a devoted and loving mother and nana. She was a talented crafter and she loved to crochet. Her family was her everything.
She is survived by her beloved son, William H. Witt, Jr, and his wife, MaryAnn, her granddaughter, Melinda Witt Psilopoulos, and her great-grandson, Michael Psilopoulos. She is predeceased by her siblings, Helen Sherman, Genevieve O’Connell, Beverly H. Sherman, and Albert Sherman.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Rt. 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation Monday 4-7pm.
