John L. Tabor, Jr., 94, of Shrewsbury died Wednesday, November 4th in Heritage Hall East of Agawam. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Josephine R. (Landry) Tabor; two sons, Kenneth J. Tabor and his wife, Paula of Westfield and Kevin F. Tabor and his wife, Nancy of Webster; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Tabor and a sister, Sophia Klementowicz.
He was born in Hyde Park, MA the son of John L. Tabor, Sr. and Victoria (Kapulka) Tabor. Mr. Tabor worked for Atlantic Richfield for over 40 years as plant manager, retiring in 1980. He was veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War. John was a long time member of St. Mary’s Church, Shrewsbury.
Calling hours are from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 8th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. His funeral will be held Monday, November 9th with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main Street, Oxford. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Shirley. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
