Owen Marc Thayer, 19, of Londonderry, was unexpectedly taken from his family far too soon on Nov. 4, 2015. He will be greatly missed by his parents, Steven and Lisa (Bonenfant) Thayer; his big sister, Jessica Thayer, of Denver, Colo.; and his brother and best friend, Grayson. Owen, who was born March 1, 1996, and grew up in Londonderry, loved hanging out with his friends, who always said they knew Owen for his kindness, sensitive nature and fun-loving humor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog Buddy, who misses him already. Owen also enjoyed the outdoors, especially snowboarding with his brother and friends. Owen was multitalented. He loved to draw, hoping to someday use those talents towards a career in art, and also played lacrosse. He was a skilled welder, machine operator and served as an altar boy at St. Jude Parish Community in his hometown. He leaves behind his paternal grandparents Robert and Judith Mabey of Bulls Gap, Tenn., his maternal grandparents Gaston and Helen Bonenfant of Manchester. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles, Sam and Lynne (Bonenfant) Ventura, Mark and Barbara (Truckey) Bonenfant, Brian and Debra (Hunter) Bonenfant, Keith and Melanie (Penk) Bonenfant, Jay and Karen (Bonenfant) Jennato, Lisa Stevens of Derry and Christina Curran of Londonderry, along with many beloved cousins. Owen will forever be remembered for his gracious heart, willingness to listen and his beloved friends.
There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends respectfully attended a Mass at St. Jude's Parish in Londonderry, Nov. 9, at 10 a.m. A gathering to celebrate Owen's life was held after the Mass at the home of his parents in Londonderry.
