HOLLIS- “Al” Alton L. Walker, age 88, passed away on Nov. 5, 2015 at the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1927, a child of the late Charles and Rose Walker.
Al proudly served in the US Army just after WWII concluded.
He is survived by his beloved wife- “Peg” Margaret (Smith) Walker; children- Susan Walker Dodd and her husband Paul of ND, John Walker and his wife Deb of ND and Sarah Walker of CO; ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
He will always be remembered for his love of fishing, motorcycle trips, betting on horses and sports and most importantly – his family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 2-3 PM, followed by a 3 PM memorial service with military honors at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Rev. Don Smith will officiate.
