WEBSTER – Peter J. Tremblay, 99, of 8A Wakefield Street, died Saturday, May 28, at home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Estelle Y. (Hamel) Tremblay; a son, Dennis P. Tremblay of Webster; a granddaughter, Karen A. Tremblay of Scottsdale, AZ; a sister, Rose Hamel of Putnam, CT; a sister-in-law, Bessie Tremblay of Webster; several nephews and nieces. His son, Peter C. Tremblay of Webster, died in 1993.
He was born in Dudley, the son of Camile J. Tremblay, Sr., and Dephine (Desbiens) Tremblay, and lived in Webster most of his life
Mr. Tremblay was the founder, president and treasurer of Tremblay Oil Co., Inc., for 60 years before he retired.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, June 1, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at noon in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 10:30 to 11:30 Wednesday morning at the funeral home. If desired, donations may be made to a charity.
