Carmelinda Inglese of Medford, beloved wife of Giovanni Inglese died at her home, surrounded by loved ones, on November 3, 2015. She was 74.
The daughter of the late Antonio and Antonina Giovino, Carmelinda was born and raised in the Avellino Province of Italy, in the town of Taurasi. She, with her husband, immigrated to the U.S. in 1966. They settled in Medford and began a family of their own. Carmelinda was a supportive wife, devoted mother and grandmother, loving sister, aunt, and cousin, and kindhearted friend.
Carmelinda worked at Royal White Laundry in Somerville, DePasquale Restaurant in Medford, and for 20 years at Tuft's University's DeWick Dining Hall where she made many wonderful friends. She was a talented cook, and was most happy when preparing and serving delicious meals to family and friends on Sundays and holidays. She loved spending time laughing and traveling with her dear friends, Rocco and Lena Masciarelli. Carmelinda also cared for her mother, Antonina who passed away from Alzheimer's Disease.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Giovanni; her children, Sandro Inglese and his wife Laura of Andover, Patty Petrosino and her husband Carmine of North Reading, and John Inglese and his wife Sylvia of Stoneham; her grandchildren, Anthony and Julia Petrosino, Luke Inglese, and Isabella Inglese; her brother, Pasquale Giovino of Medford; her nephews and nieces, Anthony Giovino and his wife Laurie of Westford MA, and Linda Wilson and her husband Richard of Wilmington MA, and the loving Manganiello family; She was predeceased by her dear sister-in-law, Italia Giovino.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement's Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday, November 6, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetary, Medford.
