Obituary

Terry Keller

Terrence Kenneth Keller of Gales Ferry passed away Tuesday (Nov. 3) at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife and best friend of over 49 years, Carol Flynn Keller; four children, Terrence Kenneth Keller, Jr., Kyle James Keller, Brent Andrew Keller, and Maura Elizabeth Johnson; six grandchildren, Colwyn Johnson, Tegan Johnson, Eira Johnson, Gareth Johnson, Avery Keller, and Dylan Keller; four siblings, Kristine Gordon, Jennifer Braithwood, Jeffrey Danner, and Jonathan Danner; and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his mother, Geraldine Kline Danner, and his stepfather, Raymond Danner.

Terry was born in Reading, PA in 1942 and joined the U.S. Navy after high school. He was always grateful to the Naval Enlisted Scientific Education Program (NESEP) for allowing him to attend Purdue University, which made it possible to earn his commission. It was at Purdue that he met and married his wife. After retiring from the Navy in 1981, he earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Rennsalear Polytechnic Institute and worked at Electric Boat in research and design. He will be most remembered, however, as a devoted husband and father and as the man behind the video camera at plays and church services.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, where he was a longtime choir member, 1650 Route 12, Gales Ferry, at 11:00 AM on Monday (Nov. 9).

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, www.alz.org.
