Lawrence, Ma. – Stella A. (Jaworski) Rakosky, 93, passed peacefully on November 1, 2015 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence.
Stella was born in Lawrence, December 21, 1921, the daughter of Joseph and Kathryn (Filipowska) Jaworski. A graduate of Lawrence High School, she went on to graduate from Burdette College.
For several years, she was with the Internal Revenue Service in Andover before retiring to spend quality time with her grandchildren.
Stella was the widow of John P. Rakosky. For many years, Stella and John operated Packers Outlet, a friendly neighborhood meat market in Lawrence.
Stella leaves her loving daughters and their husbands, Joan and Michael Smutko, Susan and Richard D’Agostino, and Ellen and John Black; two granddaughters, Diana and Alexandra D’Agostino; and many nieces and nephews.
The family invites friends and relatives to the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen on Saturday, November 7, 2015 for a viewing from 10-11AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover.
In lieu of donations, the family requests that interested individuals provide some service with love for another in need.
