John B. Kirkland, Sr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, November 3, 2015, Mr. John Bush Kirkland, Sr., 68, loving husband of 48 years to Brenda Kirkland.
John was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and Men in Mission. He was a Free & Accepted Mason, member of the Scottish Rite Temple and a Shriner. John was an avid gardener.
Family members in addition to his wife include his son: Jay Kirkland (Cindy); daughter: Jill Kirkland; grandchildren: Trey Kirkland and Jayce Kirkland; sisters: Martha Nell Jernigan and Karen Josey; brothers: Haward Kirkland and Charles Kirkland; and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodroe Kirkland and Martha Bush Kirkland, and brother, Byron Kirkland.
A memorial service will be Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in Wesley United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men in Mission.
