Eileen (Conlon) Walsh, 83, of Abington and formerly of County Monaghan Ireland passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 1st. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Ed Walsh and three children, her daughter Julie Ferraro and husband Mark of Elburn, IL, her sons Edward Walsh and his wife Karen of Grantham, NH and Declan Walsh and his wife Urvashi of New York City and her twelve grandchildren: Nicholas, Matthew, Peter, Alaina, Jillian, & Christina Ferraro. Brennan, Nora & Mary Walsh and Kanaan, Sirisha & Anaela Walsh. She leaves a brother John of Australia and a sister Elsie of England.
She emigrated from Ireland and was a nurse at the Shattuck and Carney Hospitals. She also served many patients as an in home nurse. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 6th from 3:00-7:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at Rotary) Whitman.
Funeral services will be held on November 7th at 9:30AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, followed by a funeral mass at 10:30AM in the Saint Bridget's Church on 455 Plymouth Street in Abington, MA. A graveside service will be held immediately after in St. Patrick's Cemetery at 125 Central St, Rockland, MA.
