CHICOPEE – Deborah M. “Debbie” (Lombardi) Lemelin, 61, of Chicopee and a longtime resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, November 1, 2015. She passed into Eternal Life at Redstone Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in East Longmeadow surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on September 1, 1954, a beloved daughter of the late Angelo and Gertrude (Ryan) Lombardi. She was raised in Agawam and graduated from Agawam High School. She moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida around 1975 and, in August of 2015, she moved to Chicopee. She furthered her education and received an Associate’s Degree from Broward Community College in Florida and was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Lucien G. Lemelin. They were married on December 9, 1972 at Sacred Heart Church in the Feeding Hills section of Agawam and were blessed with over 42 years of happiness together. She also leaves her three loving children, Jeremy A. Lemelin, Nicole L. Lemelin and her fiancé, Raymond Price, and Lucien E. Lemelin; her dear sister, Jean Brackonisky; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Lemelin and Lombardi families. Besides her beloved parents, she was also predeceased by her two dear brothers, Frederick and Donald Lombardi. Her funeral and burial will be private.
