In Taunton, October 31, 2015 Blanche Shirley Pouliot, “Buddie”, Age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Morton Hospice. A lifelong resident of Taunton, born December 26, 1923, the daughter of the late Rachel Spearing Hathaway and Henry Hathaway. Blanche was preceded in death by her six siblings and her husband of 52 years Arthur Pouliot. Blanche led a spirited life which included serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, working as a supervisor at Taunton State Hospital for many years, working in the field of fashion retail, and dancing as a teacher at Arthur Murray Dance Studios. She is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, family members and cherished friends. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Thursday, Nov. 5th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church in Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday from 5-7 pm. Burial in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
