Hildegard (Spitz) Pratt passed away peacefully Saturday, October 31, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 88. Born and raised in Munich, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Seigfried and Anna (Heckl) Spitz.
Hidegard came to the United States 63 years ago, and lived in the city of Somerville, where she proudly raised her loving family. She was proud to have been sales clerk for Jordan Marsh for many years.
She was the beloved wife of the late Francis Pratt. She was the devoted mother Gregory Pratt, Jeffrey Pratt and his wife Jeanine of Somerville. She was the loving grandmother of Cassandra, Amanda and Samantha. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Hildegard's funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday November 5 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Benedict Church, 21 Hathorne Street, Somerville at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM.
