TAUNTON – Joao F. Andrade, husband of Maria Odilia (Branco) Andrade of Taunton, died unexpectedly at Morton Hospital on Oct. 30, 2015.
He was 62.
Born in Terceira, Azores, he was the son of the late Joaquim and Francisca (Martins Cota) Andrade.
Mr. Andrade served in the Portuguese Army before moving to the Taunton area in 1976.
Employed by Walmart for the past several years, he had previously worked for Swank Inc. and Princess House.
Joao was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
He enjoyed fishing, wrestling and spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter, Julissa.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Andrade leaves a son, Steven Andrade of Taunton; two daughters, Cindy Sineiro and her husband Mitchell of Taunton and Jessica Andrade Lovering and her husband Matt of Taunton; a brother, Joaquim Andrade of Canada; 8 sisters, Lucia Diniz, Fernanda Fagundes, Beatriz Feliciano, Maria Ribeiro, Rosa Gomes, Dilia Andrade and Maria Pimentel all or Taunton and Maria Tereza of Canada; his granddaughter, Julissa Maria Sineiro of Taunton; his godson, Khristian de Pina of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, Nov. 4th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m.
