Obituary

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Mary Ann (Murray) Newbanks and her daughter Amie (Newbanks) McDonald on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, Mass.
Mary Ann was the wife of Dale H. Newbanks, recently of Rochester, New Hampshire. She was the mother of the late Amie (Newbanks) McDonald, daughter of the late John and Ruth Murray, sister of Leo Martin of Charlestown and the late William and Robert Martin. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends. Mary Ann was born and raised in Charlestown and worked at the Boston Naval Shipyard. After moving to Raymond, New Hampshire, she worked as a dedicated special education para-professional for many years at the Lamprey River Elementary School. She resided the past 9 years with declining health, in Homosassa, Florida where she died in hospice care on April 10, 2015.
Amie was the wife of the late Michael McDonald and daughter of Dale H. Newbanks of Rochester, New Hampshire and the late Mary Ann (Murray) Newbanks. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends. Amie was born in Charlestown, Mass. and raised in Ramond, New Hampshire before moving to Fremont, New Hampshire with her husband. She later resided in Homosassa, Florida where she was caregiver to her uncle and mother until their deaths, suddenly passing herself only weeks after her mother, on June 15, 2015. Amie was a graduate of Raymond High School, the University of New Hampshire where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and then went on to receive her Masters Degree in Reading Specialties from New England College. Amie was a middle school teacher at Noble Middle School in Berwick, Maine and at the Gilbert H. Hood Middle School in Derry, New Hampshire before moving to Florida.
