Obituary

Robert Kearney, a long time resident of Woburn, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, at The Kaplan Family Hospice Home in Danvers, he was surrounded by his loving and caring family.

He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Hall) Kearney. Born in Medford, He was the son of the late Helen (O'Connell) and Miah Kearney. Robert was raised in Arlington and after High School he continued his education at the Mass College of Pharmacy where he was a member of the Kappa Psi Honorary Society.

He owned and operated REDD Drugstore in Stoneham for many years and later worked for Medi-Mart and after a merger with Walgreen’s he enjoyed doing their health fairs and serving the communities of Lexington and Woburn until his retirement. Bob had a gifted personality that had his family, friends and customers laughing and being comfortable in his presence.

He and Sandra have enjoyed a summer home in South Yarmouth on Cape Cod, that he kept meticulous with his chocolate lab Hershey by his side. It is where the family and friends would get together to laugh, enjoy life and be with each other. He was proud of his role as a grandfather and very proud of his five loving grandchildren Madison, Cameron, Nicholas, Justin and Steven. He was a FAMILY man and he will be greatly missed by them.

Along with his wife Sandra he is survived by a daughter Deborah Kearney of Woburn, three sons Robert Jr. of Wilmington, Brian and his wife Diane of Tewksbury and Sean and his wife Tara of Medway his five loving grandchildren Madison, Cameron, Nicholas, Justin and Steven. His sister Mary Ellen Parrella of Acton and was predeceased by his brother Phil Kearney

His funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn on Monday, November 2, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours at the funeral home are Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington
