Jeannette M. (Rousseau) Valois, 72, of 45 Depot Rd. died Sunday, May 29, in UMass Medical Center. She leaves a daughter, Karin Moquin of Oxford; two grandchildren, Kaitlin R. and Benjamin J. Moquin of Oxford; seven siblings, Anne Fife, Joan Baril, Florence Marchand, Margaret Simmons, Emile Rousseau, Raymond Rousseau and Robert Rousseau; and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Richard Rousseau, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Emile and Julia (Chicoine) Rousseau and graduated from Worcester Trade School.
Jeannette owned and operated a sandwich delivery service in Worcester County, for several years before retiring. She enjoyed being a grandmother, gardening and going to area flea markets.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Callahan and Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A prayer service will be held during calling hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN, 38105-1905.
