Douglas L. James, 61, formerly of Concord, NH died October 24, 2015 at an area health care facility after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
He was born in Newton, MA April 9, 1954 the son of William R. and Roberta (Mandeville) James. He grew up in Wilbraham, MA and Cape Cod and was a graduate of Barnstable High School class of 1972. He continued his studies in land surveying and boundary law, eventually earning his certificate in advanced surveying & civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
Douglas had lived in Concord, NH for 27 years until recently moving to Milford, NH.
He worked in field of land surveying and drafting with T.F. Moran Co. and Bedford Design. He was an avid guitarist and drummer, playing in a variety of local bands. He enjoyed landscaping, gardening, cooking and being at home with his family and friends.
Douglas leaves his wife of 36 years, Paula A. (Robert) James of Milford, NH; a son, Cory W. James of Milford, NH; a sister, Nanne James and her husband Tom of Pembroke, MA; a cousin Jean Jule and her husband Robert of Barnstable, MA
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, 9 Bonney St., Penacook, NH. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester, NH.
