Augusta, GA – Mrs. Melissa Roberts Waites, 37, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Doctors Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Pastor William F. Harrell officiating. The family will greet friends following the services at the funeral home.
Melissa accepted the Lord as her Savior at the age of seven. She loved spending time in the mountains, and also collecting frogs. Melissa will be remembered for her heart of gold and for being a loving mother, wife, daughter, and sister.
Melissa is survived by her husband, James Clayton Waites; her children, Paulla “Nicole” Sharp, and Brian Scott Sharp; her mother, Bonitta Holcombe Black (Robert); her father, Randy Roberts (Jeri) and their children Luke and Sara; her sister, Katie Huntzicker Manning (Timothy); grandmother, Jewel Holcombe; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Red and Clarice Roberts, and Robert Holcombe.
