Rita S. (Boisvert) Lauzon, 92, formerly of Rockland Ave, died Friday in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Walter G. Lauzon. Rita was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Simeon and Rose (Provost) Boisvert. She worked as a machine operator for the former Finklesteins & Sons for over thirty years, retiring in 1980.
She is survived by two daughters; Suzanne Edge and her husband Walter of Cumberland, Lorraine Roderick and her husband Mark of Woonsocket, two sons; Walter Lauzon and his wife Dee Dee of Greenville, SC, and James Lauzon of Woonsocket, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Therese Marois of Harrisville, and was the sister of the late Simeon, Lionel, and Edouard Boisvert, Helene L’Etoile, and Yvonne Boucher.
Her funeral with Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church, So. Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
