Obituary

WEBSTER – Bernard J. “Bimby” Alexandrowicz, 75, of 161 Thompson Road, died Tuesday,
May 24, while vacationing in Las Vegas. His wife of 44 years, Myrle J. (Dansereau) Alexandrowicz, died in 1993.

He leaves a son, Vincent B. Alexandrowicz and his wife Luba of Webster; a daughter, Jeanne M. Elby and her husband Thomas of Windham, NH; his close companion, Claire Wawrzynowicz of Norwich, CT; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Ronald J. Alexandrowicz, in 2001.

He was born in Webster, the son of Vincent and Mary (Ostrowski) Alexandrowicz. He lived in Dudley and Webster all of his life. He attended Bartlett High School.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Alexandrowicz was an inventory control specialist at Wright Line Corp. in Worcester for 25 years, retiring in 1991. Before that, he worked at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge for several years.

He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica, the Webster-Dudley American Legion Post #184 and an active member of the Polish American Veterans. He was the scout master for Dudley Boy Scout Troop 273 for 20 years. He was an avid fisherman.

The funeral, with military honors, will be held Wednesday, June 1, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace.
