Obituary

Jeannette J. Rivet, 83, of Woonsocket died Friday at home. She was the loving wife of the late Camille L. Rivet. They were married on May 30, 1953 and shared over 51 years together until he passed away in 2004.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Herve and Anita (Gingras) Bibeault. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Rivet was employed at Miller Electric for over 23 years before retiring. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and puzzles.
Jeannette will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her selfless nature in caring for others, a hallmark of her journey through life. Almost every day Jeannette would perform a good deed or an act of kindness toward any and all those around her.
She is survived by two sons Gerald “Gerry” Rivet and his wife, Rye, of Blackstone and Jean-Paul “John” Rivet of Cotuit, MA., three daughters Joanne Phillips and her husband, John, of Dayville, CT, Jocelyn Marcus and her husband, Jeff, of Blackstone and Jacqueline Camara and her partner, Allen Zatonsky, of Chepachet. She was the sister of Roger Bibeault of Woonsocket and Theresa Martel of North Smithfield and the late Edgar, Normand, Lucien, Roland “Pete”, Herve Jr., Bertrand and Constance Bibeault. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, several godchildren and their families.
Her funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Precious Blood Parish, 94 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket, RI. 02895.
