Elaine V. Patnaude, 76, of Derry, NH passed away peacefully while under hospice care on Friday October 23, 2015 following a lengthy battle with rheumatoid arthritis. She was born on October 31, 1938 in Chelsea, MA, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Murphy) Kevlik. Elaine and her husband collected antiques. She enjoyed traveling, crochet and arts and crafts. She was also a bit of a shopaholic. Elaine loved to spend time with her friends and especially loved the time spend with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a social butterfly that lit up a room and could be a real firecracker.
She is survived by three sons, Gerald C. Patnaude Jr and wife Mariella, Michael Patnaude and wife Denise, and Timothy Patnaude and wife Colette; one daughter, Stacy Hall and husband Scott, 10 grandchildren, Christian, Nicholas, Erica, Dylan, Joshua, Joseph, Justin, Valerie, Kendra Kearney and her husband Andrew Kearney and Christopher; eight great grandchildren, two sisters, Rosalie O’Connell and Elisa Preston; two brothers, James Kevlik and Jan Kevlik; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Gerald C. Patnaude Sr. in 2003.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 4 -6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry with a service to begin at 6:00pm. Graveside services were held on Friday October 30th at 9:00am in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.
