Joseph E. “Joe” Todesca, age 85, of Marshfield, MA, formerly of Riverview, FL, passed away on Oct.22, 2015 in Boston with his family at his side. He was devoted husband of the late Lois (Williams) Todesca. Born in Roslindale, on Feb 24, 1930, son of the late Frank and Emma (Bean) Todesca. He was the loving brother to his three sisters Elizabeth and the late Leonard Lydon of Plymouth; Margaret Koelsch of Canton; and Patricia and Joe Hunnefeld of Hingham. He was the cherished companion of Maggie Davidson. Joe was educated in Boston and entered the US Air Force following his high school graduation. A Korean War Veteran, Joe was selected thru a raffle to attend the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth on June 2, 1953. Following his military service he worked in the construction field and later for Delta Airlines. His love for aviation would lead him to any nearby airport. Joe was an avid, skilled golfer and held bragging rights to 3 hole-in-ones, most recently at age 83 with his great-nephew Taylor. He was a member of Souther’s Marsh Golf Club in Plymouth. Although “Uncle Joe” had no children of his own, he will be missed by his 23 loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great- nieces and nephews as well as many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct.27, 2015 in the Davis Funeral & Cremation Home, 619 State Rd., Plymouth (Manomet) from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral will take place on Wednesday from the Davis Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bonaventure’s Church, 802 State Rd., Plymouth, (Manomet) at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
