Obituary

HIGGINS Mary Joan, a long-time resident of Beacon Hill in Boston, passed away on Monday the 19th of October.

Born in 1925, Joan graduated from Northwestern University and received a masters degree from the New England Conservatory of Music.

Joan was a concert pianist and author of the mystery book, A LITTLE DEATH MUSIC. She was also a gourmet cook, who enjoyed entertaining with her husband, Warren, who preceded her in death. She was known for her charm, intelligence and wit by all who knew her.

Joan is survived by her children William, Michael and Theresa DePallo, her
daughter-in-laws Paula, Julia Elliott-Higgins and her son-in-law Michael DePallo. She was a devoted grandmother to Hannah, Jack and Roan and delighted in their musical talents.

Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery following a private service in Washington D.C.
