Kenneth A. "Ken" Toppin, 46, of Derry, NH passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his home. He was born on January 13, 1969 in Methuen, MA, a son of Rita Ward Toppin of Derry, NH and Earl Toppin of Virginia. Ken was an avid sports fan!! Some of his favorite memories were of his sport participation. He was a teammate of the South Lawrence East Little League on the "Yankee" team, number 14, the Lawrence youth hockey, Canadian exchange hockey program, as well as the Lawrence Voke. However, his true passion was hockey, especially the Bruins. Ken’s heart belonged to his mother and children. He had a kind heart when it came to elders and others. His personality was like no other as he was a combination of his mentors the "3 Stooges" and Benny Hill.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is also survived by one son, Keith Toppin, two daughters, Chrystina Walters and her husband, Kevin and Kayla Toppin; three grandchildren, Julian, Emma and Hunter; two sisters, BetteJo Toppin and Stacy Torres and her husband Luis; one brother, Scott Toppin and his wife, Gladys, one niece, Celine and one great nephew, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 5 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A Service will be held at 6:00pm during the calling hours in the funeral home with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Serenity Place, 101 Manchester Street, Manchester, NH 03103.
