Obituary

Richard (Dick) Rodier, Age 78, died October 22, 2015 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born and raised in North Dighton, he was the son of Ernest and Mildred (Talbot) Rodier. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960-1962. Dick was employed by the Foxboro Company for nearly 40 years and upon retirement began working for Manheim Auto Auction so he would have something to keep him busy. He was also a fixture at Johnny’s Market, currently Village Liquors, where he worked alongside his good friend John Collard. Dick was the devoted husband of Lorraine (Dumoulin) Rodier who preceeded him in death by five months. He leaves behing his three children Lori Mullin and her husband Richard of North Dighton, Shelly Rodier and her longtime companion Jon Astle of Taunton and Neal Rodier of Taunton. He also leaves his four grandchildren Katherine and Lindsey Mullin of North Dighton, Jon-Eric Astle of Taunton and Randi Knight of Attleboro along with his great granddaughter Adriana also of Attleboro. A graveside service will be held at Bourne National Cemetery in Bourne, MA on Tuesday, October 27th at 11:30 am.
