Obituary

WORCESTER-Elizabeth (Kazarian) Wheeler, 89, of Worcester passed away Thursday, October 22.
Elizabeth is finally at rest to be with her husband again, Roy H. Wheeler, who died in 2000. She leaves three children, Bruce R. and his wife, Karen M. Wheeler of Auburn, Lisa A. and her husband Thomas M. Hackett of Paxton and Joanne E. and her husband John J. Morawski of Auburn; six grandchildren, Jeremy,Rachel, David, Brian, Brenda, Allie; two brothers, Michael Kazarian of Warwick, RI and Sarkis Kazarian with whom she lived; a sister in law, Pamela Kazarian of Worcester and nieces and nephews. A brother, Gerald Kazarian predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Sarkis and Varter (Boghosian) Kazarian and attended Commerce High School.

Elizabeth and her husband worked side by side, owning and operating Dick's Lunch on Park Ave. for over 30 years, before retiring. She was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour. Elizabeth greatest joy in life was knowing that her children were happy. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and traveling to Rhode Island for a lobster lunch with her brothers. She valued her Armenian heritage. Her family came from the Village of Korpe and survived the Armenian Genocide and she proudly remembered their sacrifices.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, October 27 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, with a Funeral Service at 11AM in the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Monday, October 26 from 5 to 7PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
