Phillip Sidney Roberson, 68, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, October 22, 2015, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 1 PM, Sunday, October 25, 2015, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Bobby Adkinson officiating. Interment will be private.
Mr. Roberson was born March 3, 1947, in Telfair County, Georgia to the late Andrew Jackson and Estelle Smith Roberson. He lived in the community for 22 years, moving from Telfair County. He was a former employee of Elixir Industries, a drywall installer and he also painted bridges for the Georgia Department of Transportation. He enjoyed woodworking, especially crafting donkeys and was a lover of animals of all kinds. Mr. Roberson was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his companion: Barbara Adam of Fitzgerald; a daughter: Samantha Hulett of Bradenton, Florida; three sisters: Lou Raford of Florida, Laverne & James Foster of Montgomery County and Ruenett Brady of Hazlehurst. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Henry Roberson, Eschol Roberson and his twin, David Roberson.
