T. Allan Goodwin, 73, of Londonderry, NH died Thursday October 22, 2015 at his home. Mr. Goodwin was born in Winchester, MA on September 13, 1942 a son of the late Trueman and Claire (Melanson) Goodwin. Al was raised in Wakefield, MA and was a 1960 graduate of Wakefield High School. He resided in Wakefield until 1973 when he moved to Londonderry. Al had been employed for Continental Can in Derry for 15 years, later working for US Can in Chesterton, IN for 10 years. He retired from Symmetry Medical in Manchester, NH. Al enjoyed fishing and Bingo, and was a member of the Deer Head Club in Hooksett, NH and the Halcyon of Derry.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris J. Goodwin of Londonderry, five sons, Robert Goodwin and his wife Shirley of Derry, Bruce Goodwin and his wife Cindy of Londonderry, Kenneth Goodwin and his wife Anna of Manchester, Timothy Goodwin and his wife Johanne of Londonderry, and Richard Goodwin and his wife Barbara of Londonderry, one daughter, Claire Gallien of Londonderry, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, four brothers, Gordon Goodwin and Thomas Goodwin both of Wakefield, and Kevin Goodwin and Brian Goodwin both of Derry, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Steven Mark Goodwin in 1963.
Calling hours will be held on Monday October 26, 2015 from 5 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am at the Pillsbury Cemetery, Londonderry.
