Betty Jean Henry, 76, of Woonsocket died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Donald A. Henry.
Born in Oklahoma she was a daughter of the late Gan William and Thelma Marie (Pelt) Wallace. She was a resident of Woonsocket for over 50 years.
A dedicated homemaker Betty treasured time with her grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for her pets and animals in general.
She is survived by two sons Brian A. Henry and his wife, Pamela, and Sam Bill Evans all of Mississippi, three daughters Marie E. Barchie and her husband, Daniel, of Slatersville, Donna J. Zoglio of Richmond, and Bridget R. Viphakone of Woonsocket. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be Saturday at 10:00 am in the Blackstone Valley Baptist Church, 40 Pine Swamp Rd., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in North Smithfield. Visiting hours are Friday from 6-8 pm in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Animal Rescue Rhode Island P.O.
