Travis, Phillip “Phil” Wayne, 65, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at home with his family by his side.
He was born to Charles and Sylvia (Bryant) Travis. Phil graduated from the University of Kentucky, retired from Valley High School as a History Teacher, and was a Deacon with New Salem Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father; and a grandchild, Kaylyn.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 yrs., Patricia (Biederman); his daughters, Cheri Lulla (Munesh), Sheila Dunn, and Rachel Travis; five grandchildren, Lacey, Logan, Madison, Nolan, and Delaney; one great-grandchild, Hayes; a sister, Cindy Bare (Tony) and family; and his extended church family.
Funeral service will be Saturday 12:00PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation is Friday 2:00-8:00PM at Owen.
