Obituary

SPENCER: Norman H. Lavigne, 74, of Crestview Drive died Saturday, Oct. 17 in Rose Monahan Hospice residence after fighting a brave battle with cancer.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Arlene J. (Barton) Lavigne, two sons; Mark D. Lavigne of Brimfield and Glen N. Lavigne of Brookfield, a brother Raymond Lavigne of East Brookfield, four grandchildren Joshua, Allison, Jacquelyn & Hunter Lavigne. He was pre-deceased by a son Gary D. Lavigne.

Mr. Lavigne was born in Worcester, son of George and Lucille (Dubois) Lavigne. He graduated from David Prouty High School in 1959. He was a driver for U.P.S. in Shrewsbury for 32 years retiring in 2001. He was a member of Teamster Local 170, the Greendale Retired Men's Club and their golf league. He enjoyed gardening and traveling. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

The Funeral will be held Thursday, Oct. 22 at 11:00 AM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Wednesday, 5:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602.
