Helen (Martel) Fowler, 86, of Londonderry, NH died Monday October 19, 2015 at her home. Helen was born in Derry, NH on July 10, 1929, a daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Laronde) Martel. She had been a lifelong resident of Derry and Londonderry. She retired in 1991 from Shaw’s Supermarket where she was employed in the Deli department. Helen enjoyed knitting, needle point, camping, traveling and spending time in Florida. She especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two sons; Craig Fowler and his girlfriend Jen Pirog of Derry and Brian Fowler and his wife, Kathleen of Derry, three grandchildren; Sadie Fowler, Carissa Kelley, and Jessica Allen, three great-grandchildren, her sister, Barbara Joy of Norfolk, VA, her brother, Walter “Tink” Martel of Dover, DE, as well as several nieces, nephews and her lifelong neighbor and friend, Pat Henderson. She was predeceased in 2006 by her husband of 55 years, Charles S. Fowler.
The family extends a special thanks to Helen's caregivers Doris Marr, Hollie Porter, Rosemary Muchuma and the personnel of Hospice.
There are no calling hours. Graveside services were held on Friday October 23, 2015 at 2:00pm at Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Greater Derry Boys and Girls, 40 E. Derry Rd., Derry, NH 03038.
