Murry Eugene Walden, 61, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Gerald Mallard officiating. Mr. Walden will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 22, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born September 18, 1954 in Pensacola, Florida, Mr. Walden was the son of the late May Walden and Sarah Cotton Walden. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon “Sherry” Kay Mincey Walden, who died October 13, 2015; one brother, Mike Walden; and a niece, Renee Zapler.
Mr. Walden is survived by his six grandchildren, whom he dearly loved, Chandler Walden, Chase Walden, Chance Walden, Brandon Walden, Alexis Walden and Timmy Walden; his two boys, Scott Walden and wife, Jessica and Joey Walden, all of Tifton; two sisters, Gwen Pfeiffer of Pensacola, Florida and Ruth Tomblin of Warm Springs; a sister-in-law, Brenda Walden of Vidalia; and his nieces and nephews, Christy Collins, Cindy Williams, Everett Pfeiffer, Kaylan Walden, Lindsey Williams, Brent Williams, Brandon Williams, Jet Collins and Jack Collins.
