In Norwood, October 16, 2015 Joshua D. Acerra, Age 33, passed away unexpectedly. He was born in Brockton the son of Wayne & Elizabeth (D’Avella) Furtado of Taunton and Dennis & Kathy Acerra of Norwood. Joshua also leaves his former wife Megan (Pierce) Acerra and their son Jacoby both of Taunton. Joshua was a resident of Taunton all his life. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. Joshua enjoyed boating and all water activities and football and baseball. Joshua also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents Joshua leaves his siblings Jennifer and Jessica Furtado of Taunton and Michael Acerra and his daughter Arianna of Manomet, Michael Acerra and Dennis “Teddy” Morel. Joshua was also the grandson of the late Armando & Mary D’Avilla and Dante & Doris Acerra.He late Godmother Debra Breadmore. His favorite niece Brianna and adorable twin nephews Brandon and Logan and also Brody. Joshua also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Friday, October 23rd at 8:45 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105
