Robert J. Harris, Jr., 58, of New Bedford died October 12, 2015 unexpectedly at home.
Born in Boston, the son of Helena M. (Allison) Carter of Atlanta, GA and the late Robert J. Harris, he lived in Boston, Wareham and New Bedford.
Survivors include his mother; 4 sisters, Sheryl Cosby of Conyer, GA, Gayle Harris of Dorchester, Marlene Winbush and Deborah Henderson, both of Boston; a brother, Dana Webb of Atlanta, GA; a step-sister, Stephanie Teixeira of Roslindale; a step-brother, Steven Teixeira of Dorchester; his uncle, Robert Graham and his wife Ruthie of Brockton; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Robert J. Harris, III and the nephew of the late Nathaniel Harris.
His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 24th at 1 PM in Sons of God Apostolic Baptist Church, 441 Coggeshall St. New Bedford.
