Charles Eugene Fussell, 79, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 16, 2015.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Burial will be at 3:00 PM in Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. Rev. Chris Minton, Rev. Shannon Back, and Mr. Dale Crooms will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5 until 7 PM Monday at the funeral home and also following the service on Tuesday.
Mr. Fussell was born in Wray, Georgia the son of the late Jessie Yarbrough Fussell and Barney Dillard Fussell. He was retired from Shepherd Brothers Timber as a welder/foreman and was a United States Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Fussell attended Lizella Baptist Church and was a member of the Faith Bible Class.
Mr.Fussell is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnell Price Fussell of Lizella; daughters, Angela M. (Dale) Crooms of Forsyth; Tracy F. Brown of Lizella, and Tina M. (Brian) Greene of Macon; grandchildren, Ashely M. Crooms, Hannah D. Crooms, Chuck M. (Heather) Brown, Caleb A. Brown, and Tucker R. Yearwood; sister, Shirley (Kelley) Sumner of Wray, GA; several nieces and nephews.
