Gayle C. Rounds, 61

Gayle C. “Gay” (Grund) Rounds, age 61, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away surrounded by her loving and adoring family, on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
She was the beloved wife of Reese K. Rounds, to whom she was wed on April 1, 1977.
Born in Attleboro, MA on August 31, 1954, she was a loving daughter of the late Alfred G. and Margaret E. (Gustafson) Grund. She was a 1972 graduate of Norton High School and had attended Bristol Community College.
Gay had worked for 31 years as a Dental Assistant. Her last place of business was for Dr. Theodore S. Safer, DDS in Taunton and formerly for Dr. Edward M. Teitleman, DDS in Norton.
She attended the Trinitarian Congregational Church in Norton, where she was quite active in church affairs. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loving family.
Gay loved camping, especially at Lake Sebago in Maine where she made and taught others to make mosaic stepping-stones. Her other talents included tole painting old fashion mason jars and slates, and caning antique chairs and macrameing chairs as well.
When younger she enjoyed painting shirts and giving them to family and friends as gifts. She also enjoyed attending yard sales, and at the time of her death was anticipating the birth of her second grandson.
In addition to her beloved husband of 38 years, she is survived by her devoted sons Jason P. Rounds and his wife Stacey of Tennessee, Justin E. Rounds of Norton and Adam C. Rounds and his wife Nicole of Attleboro. She was the dear sister of Terry B. Grund of Norton, Kristen E. Gomes and her husband Alfred of Norton and the late Jeffrey W. Grund. She was the cherished grandmother of Tyler J. Rounds, and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Her memorial service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, November 28th at 3:00 P.M. in the Trinitarian Congregational Church, East Main and Pine Streets, Norton. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Gay with a donation in her memory made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Greater New England, 101A First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451 or the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750.
