Obituary

HOLYOKE – Theresa J. (Provost) Archambault, 86, a longtime resident of East Dwight Street in the Flats section of Holyoke, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. She passed into Eternal Life at the Willimansett Center West in Chicopee surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Holyoke on April 20, 1929, a beloved daughter of the late Ernest and Lydia (Fournier) Provost. She was raised in Holyoke, graduated from the former Precious Blood Elementary School and was a lifelong resident of Holyoke. She was employed for 40 years at the former American Pad and Paper Company in Holyoke and retired in 1990. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Holyoke and a member of the Ladies Sodality Guild of the former Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker who adored her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alcedor J. “Archie” Archambault who was Called Home on August 4, 2008. They were married on October 10, 1959 at the former Precious Blood Church in Holyoke and were blessed with over 48 years of happiness together. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her two loving sisters, Eva St. Amand who was Called Home on January 17, 2013 and Rita Bonin who was Called Home on October 16, 2014. She leaves her loving sister and brother-in-law, Bernadette “Bernie” Boisjolie and her husband, Richard, of Chicopee; and her many cherished nephews, nieces, cousins and extended members of the Archambault and Provost families. Her funeral will be held on Monday morning, October 19, 2015 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Precious Blood Cemetery, 65 Willimansett Street Extension, South Hadley, MA 01075. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
