Rose (Fuggetti) Johnson died peacefully on October 14, 2015 at the age of 85. Rose was a lifelong resident of Brockton and a 1948 graduate of Brockton High School. She had been a long time communicant of St. Edward’s Church and Our Lady of Lourdes. She was loved and cherished by all who knew her.
Rose was an avid, accomplished bowler, lover of music, dancer and spectacular cook. Rose enjoyed cooking for friends and family and was known for her open houses on Christmas Eve where she always presented a sumptuous Italian feast.
Rose was close to her late sisters, Mary Ruggiero, Frances Fahey and Anna Cardini. She was also predeceased by her soul mate and beloved husband, Dick Johnson.
Rose is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary F. and Jane Johnson of N. Easton, daughter and son-in-law Pamela J. and Gray Sargent of Hull and stepson Thomas Santiano of Brockton; 2 beloved grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah Johnson of Easton, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.
Rose will be remembered for her beautiful smile, incredible soul and infinite capacity to love. Rose’s family would like to express their love and gratitude to the Staff at Heights Crossing Memory Care Unit which she called home for the past four and half years. The care she received from her family there was unsurpassed.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (Rte 123) Brockton on Friday, 3-7pm. Funeral Service in the funeral home on Saturday at 9am followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery.
