Louise Bradin Gross of Wayland, MA. passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the age of 98.
She was born in Tyrone, Pa. the daughter of Dr. Cary C. and Florence (Hesser) Bradin. She was educated at The Grier School in Birmingham, Pa. and the Philadelphia Museum School of Art. She was an accomplished artist in several media. She and her husband of 53 years, John Lewis Gross Jr., were long time residents of Chestnut Hill, Pa. and Wyndmoor Pa. He died in 1996. In 2000 she moved to Massachusetts to be closer to family. She loved her family, art, and gardening. She is survived by her daughter, Marcy Gefter of Boston; her son John of Germantown, Md.; four grandchildren: Matthew and Sarah Gefter, both of New York City, Emily Neveux of Frederick, MD, and Tyler Gross of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by a great granddaughter, Kayleigh Neveux, and nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church in Chestnut Hill, Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Shriners Hospital for Children of Philadelphia, 3551 N.
