Sharon "Sherry" Kay Mincey Walden, 58, of Tifton went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Regency Hospital in Macon. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Gerald Mallard officiating. Mrs. Walden will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 15, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Walden, born December 14, 1956 in Anchorage, Alaska, was the daughter of the late Charles E. Mincey and DeJuna Pons Mincey. She was also preceded in death by a son, Timmy Eugene Walden. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Walden is survived by her husband, Murry Walden of Tifton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott and Jessica Walden and Joey Walden, all of Tifton; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Keith Nelson of Acworth, Sandy and Mike Bailey of Opelika, Alabama, Roxanne and Tommy Hinson of Macon, Terri and Drew Sinclair of Buford and Carri and David Wilson of Columbus; and six grandchildren, Chandler Walden, Chase Walden, Chance Walden, Brandon Walden, Alexis Walden and Timmy Walden.
