Ronald Benson “Ron” Randolph age 78 of Brockton died Saturday October 10, 2015 at the Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital. He was the longtime and devoted companion of Carol A. Swanson. Ron was born in Boston a son of the James W. and Rhoda M. (Merryman) Randolph and was proud of his native American heritage. He had lived in Brockton for the past 45 years.
At one time, Ron had worked in the cranberry bogs in Carver with his mother and in the shoe manufacturing industry. He loved motorcycles and riding to Plymouth and the Cape Cod Canal, the beach and fishing. He also enjoyed watching old movies and loved Signe his cat.
Ron will be remembered as a strong willed and feisty man with a side of him that was also a quiet homebody.
Ron was the father of Wendy Lee Randolph of New Bedford, grandfather of Kayla Randolph and brother of June Outlaw of Plymouth, Janice Poch of Florida, Doris Delgado of Cape Cod and the late Betty and James Randolph.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Wednesday 10-11am followed by a service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Coweeset Cemetery in Brockton.
