Janis Del Pozzo, 68, of Derry, NH passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at her home. She was born June 11, 1947 At Clover Hill hospital in Methuen, MA, a daughter of the late Daniel and Virginia (Welsh) Reposa. She was raised and educated in Lawrence and had been a resident of Derry since 1972. She had strong ties to the community within the Derry Heritage committee, Derry Housing & redevelopment authority, and East Derry upper village hall outreach committee. She was an avid poet, loved bingo, and an advocate of community enrichment. She will be greatly missed by many far and wide.
Janis was employed for 28 years as a clerk with the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, MA.
She is survived by her daughter, Jodi Marie Del Pozzo of Allenstown, NH, her son, Jayson Michael Del Pozzo of Hampton, GA, one grandson, Tylor Del Pozzo of Rochester NH, one great-grandchild, a sister, Mara Hall of Leominster, MA, Sister-in-law, Joan P. King, numerous nieces and nephews, Ronnie Bourgault and her longtime friends, Denise Ellis and The Brady family.....amongst many others.
After cremation, a celebration of her life will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 at 2:00PM in the First Parish Congregational Church, 47 East Derry Rd., Derry, NH 03041. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janis’s memory to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Derry, PO Box 140, East Derry, NH 03041.
