Obituary

Robert Hebshie of Avon formerly of Brockton died Monday evening October 5, 2015 at Mass General Hospital after a brief illness. Robert was born in Brockton, MA a son of the late Fred J. Hebshie, Sr. and Mary (Naimey) Hebshie. He was a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School and Eastern Nazarene College with a degree in social work.
He worked for many years at Brockton Industrial Electric Company, a family owned and operated business. For the past 25 years he has been associated with South Shore Support Services where he was currently serving as Director of Development and where he followed his heart’s calling to be of service to others. Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 238, in Easton and was made Grand Knight.
Robert is survived by his brother, Fred J. Hebshie, Jr. and his wife, Nelly (Wakim) Hebshie, his sister, Rosemarie (Hebshie) Rappold and his “adopted” son, Ralph Deprimio as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him very much. Robert was a good and dear friend to so many and was held in such high esteem and cherished by all whose lives he touched.
A man of deep and abiding faith, Robert was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church where he played the organ and was a member in the choir for over 40 years. Everyone who had the privilege of his kind heart is better for having known him.
Visiting hours in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (rte. 123) Brockton Monday, 4-8pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30am for the Service of the Divine Liturgy at 10:30am in St. Theresa Maronite Church, 343 N. Main St, Brockton. Burial in Calvary Cemetery will follow.
