Obituary

Margaret M. “Peggy” (Jasper) Hebert, 86, of Worcester died Thursday, October 8th in the Carlyle House of Framingham. She leaves a son, William H. Hebert, Jr. and his wife, Karen A. of Framingham; a daughter, Christine H. Mantini and her husband, Carlo of Arlington; two grandchildren, Maria and James Mantini; many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by a brother, James M. Jasper, Jr. and a sister, Madelyn K. Sheahan.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of James M. Jasper, Sr. and E. Madeline (Gilrein) Jasper. Peggy graduated from St. Peter’s High School and Our Lady of the Elms College. Margaret was a teacher for over 50 years, retiring from Worcester Central Catholic in 1996. She previously taught at St. Peter’s High School, Blackstone Valley Tech, Shrewsbury, Natick and Framingham Public Schools. Peggy was very devoted to her family and her Catholic faith.
Her funeral is Wednesday, October 14th with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street (Please go directly to church). Calling hours are Tuesday, October 13th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Elms College, 291 Springfield Street, Chicopee, MA 01013.
