Obituary

Gilles E. “Butch” Lavigne, 64, of Nashua, died peacefully at his home on October 9, 2015 after a sudden illness.
He was born in Manchester on September 24, 1951 to Robert and Lorraine (Raiche) Lavigne. He graduated from Bishop Bradley High School and Granite State College.
He lived in Manchester for most of his life.
Butch was co-owner of Angela’s Pasta and Cheese Shop in Manchester for many years. He was a member of the choir at St. Catherine Church and was an avid follower of drum and bugle corps’. He also enjoyed spending time at his summer home in Wells, ME.
He was predeceased by his parents and by a son, Jason S. Lavigne, in 2008.
The family includes his partner, Jerry Lipet of Nashua; his former wife and best friend, Angela Lavigne; a son, Jamie Lavigne and his wife, Jennifer, of Manchester; three grandchildren, Addison, Charlotte and Raegan Lavigne; two sisters, Norma Biron and her husband, John, of Tennessee and Marie Lavigne of Texas; a former wife, Claudette Lavigne of Dover; a nephew, Ben; three nieces, Emily, Catherine and Margaret; close family friends, Monica Thomas-Bonnick and Debbie Rupprecht; and a large extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Private interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the High Hopes Foundation of NH, 416 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH 03054.
