Obituary

Francis “Frank” Aronno, a long-time Medford resident, passed away Monday, October 5th, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 85.

Born in Boston, Frank attended Medford schools graduating with the class of 1948. After high school graduation, Frank entered the United States Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician Airman. Following his honorable discharge in 1954, Frank completed his degree in engineering from Northeastern University. He held various engineering positions with Avco Research Laboratory, located in Everett.

An avid figure skater, Frank was a proud member of the Boston Skating Club. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending his spare time with family and friends.

He was the beloved son of the late Pasquale and Grace (Cardillo) Aronno. Brother of Robert Aronno and his wife Sally of Dallas, TX, and Joseph Aronno who predeceased him. Uncle to John Aronno and his wife Heather of Anchorage, Alaska.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford on Tuesday, October 13th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the organization of one’s choice.
